Refunds & cancellations
Last updated: 21 August 2026
This policy covers paid consulting engagements with StoneCore Programming Consulting for QA automation and test strategy work. It does not cover physical products, software licences, or subscriptions—we do not sell those.
Eligibility
Refunds apply to fees paid for consulting services under a written engagement letter. Website form submissions are free and do not create a charge.
Timeframe to request
Contact us within 14 days of the invoice date or the triggering event (cancellation, scope reduction), whichever is relevant. Australian Consumer Law rights remain available where they apply.
Full or partial refunds
- Full refund of unused prepaid fees if we cancel an engagement for reasons within our control and no suitable reschedule is agreed.
- Partial refund if you cancel after work has started: fees for completed stages (discovery, workshops already held, drafts delivered) are retained; unused future stages may be refunded.
- Deposit held for fixed-fee engagements booked more than four weeks ahead is refundable if you cancel at least 10 business days before kick-off; later cancellations forfeit the deposit unless we fill the slot.
Non-refundable items
- Time already delivered (workshops held, documents issued, readiness assessments completed)
- Third-party costs approved in writing (for example room hire for an on-site workshop)
- Retainer hours consumed in the month
Process
Email contact@workspace-stonecore.click with “Refund request”, your engagement reference, and the reason. We confirm receipt within two business days and decide within 10 business days.
Processing time & method
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 10 business days of approval, or by electronic transfer to an Australian account you nominate if the original method is unavailable.
Cancellation & rescheduling
You may reschedule workshops once without fee if you give at least five business days’ notice. Later changes may incur a rescheduling fee of up to one consulting day at the engagement rate. We reschedule in good faith when illness or travel disruption affects either party.
No-shows
If key stakeholders fail to attend a booked workshop without notice, that session is treated as delivered for billing purposes. A replacement session may be quoted separately.
Work already started
Once discovery access is granted and kick-off completed, discovery fees are earned. Drafts produced under the engagement remain billable even if you pause the project.
Exceptions
If Australian Consumer Law entitles you to a remedy for a major failure in services, that remedy prevails over conflicting parts of this policy.
